The night has come, and pair of elves have to do their work - light the stars. Soon it will be the young elf's job, and he watches with admiration how his grandfather places the stars in the skies. He helps, too by carrying a sack with tonight's stars. Yet another incredibly realistic art doll sculpture by Tanya. Starlighters are meticulously sculpted down to their toes (yes, the younger fellow did not take good care of his shoes, and his toes show!) with great deal of details on their faces and hands. Starlighters setting is about 11" high. The older elf is 7-1/2 inch tall, and the younger elf is 8-1/2 inch. Starlighters is a one-of-a-kind sculpture. Both elves are hand-sculpted from ProSculpt polymer clay with soft body on wire armature. Starlighters is a unique piece because no molds were used in sculpting of the characters. Both Starlighters elves have brown hand-painted eyes. The younger elf has brown mohair wig, and his grandfather's hair is white tibetian wool. The Starlighters' faces and hands have natural skin color of polymer clay with carefully hand-painted blush highlights and veins. The younger elf's teeth are all individually hand-sculpted. Both elves' scarves are hand-knitted. Their clothes and the younger elf's backpack are hand sewn from various kinds of fabric, some resembling leather for life-like look. The shoes are all sculpted from polymer clay, with hand-painted features. The younger elf also has his toes showing through the holes in his shoes with toe nails hand painted!
